Basically, it is the social and political structure in which anything remotely right wing, n.b., not conservative, has been effectively made verboten, either de jure like in many parts of Europe, or de facto everywhere else. This includes all non-Enlightenment consistent views on nation, culture, religion, the sexes, race, morals, etc.

Ultimately it gave rise to the knee-jerk instinct to label any opposition to the liberal order as either a “Nazi” or “fascist,” whether or not they actually may be so technically notwithstanding.

The Boomers.
The advent of television created one of the greatest propaganda moments in history. The Boomers had three sources of information, and a handful of men telling them things through a screen. And they believed it all with absolute certainty. They stood by and let thousands of years of social norms be upturned for access to casual sex, normalized abortion, and "uncensored" visual entertainment. "We're in a revolution, man!" Biggest fucking dupes in the history of the world. They deserve nothing but contempt as a generation. They should be cursed so that all future generations fear to engage in anything that might resemble Boomer behavior.

This is an unfortunately truthful statement; I agree that the boomers will be known in history as "the brainwashed generation".
The brainwashed generation still has its hands on the levers of financial/political power and it still believes with absolute certainty everything it sees on the television.

You are correct that the comparison between communism and fascism might be the best example of this phenomenon; Nazism was a backlash to the horrors of democratic socialism.
The two philosophies exist only in opposition to eachother and as such, any direct comparison attempting to tie them together is fundamentally flawed.

I think there's plenty of blame to go around. Somebody had to do the brainwashing and swindling. It's super easy to blame them. However, it seems to me, real tragedies are like lock tumblers. One piece after another has to fall into place. It's always multiple pieces. There's a lot of the "Greatest Generation" who had a hand in that tragedy too. And how far back do we trace the current brew of misfortune we find ourselves in? I ask that as an actual question, not to be sarcastic or contrarian. I ask it because if your thesis is correct we have only to wait them out. Yet, I suspect the answer to repairing the damage is not so easy.

Despite knowing that black people are not capable of obtaining photo IDs, Democrats inexplicably chose to require everyone in attendance to show identification, leaving thousands of black people unable to enter.
