Out here in Trump Jersey, our benevolent legislators banned grocery stores from offering any free disposable bags at check out in May 2021. Paper and plastic were gone. Now all we have are those terrible bags for 3 cents that are good for precisely 125 uses. Almost all bags are gone everywhere from all stores, although restaurants figured out a way around it, still offering mostly paper bags.
It’s was done ostensibly for “environmental” reasons. Too many plastic bags in rivers they said. What really probably happened was the supermarket co-ops lobbied Trenton because the overhead cost of bags was too high combined with food shortages in a very crowded suburban market. Environmentalism was a cheap excuse. The State is responsible for trash cleanup and the maintenance of waterways. Private property doesn’t have a litter problem.
Access to a safe & legal abortion, up to about 24 weeks, is something I strongly believe in.
Being the person responsible for the accounts of a grocery store I can tell you our margins have not changed. I personally handle every invoice for every item that comes through. I have to calculate retail vs our cost daily. I see our cost for everything from toilet paper for our restrooms to the Styrofoam trays meat gets put on. Our margins have not shot up. Our prices have because our cost has. But we're not making that excess money.
Interesting that the twatwaffle not earning a damn thing honestly is hollering about how much others (providing a product or service) are making.
The sanctioned incompetence is demoralizing and corrosive. She's a dumbass, she knows jack shit about what she's talking about and yet she's a candidate for the highest office in the land. The USSS chick. Biden. AOC. The sanctioned, awarded, lauded, financially rewarded incompetence is just too much. I'm tired of playing.
You want to be real? You want ice cream to not be 8 dollars a gallon? Let's talk rules. Rules about transport. Rules about who you hire and for how much. Lets talk about what government regulations do to every aspect of business. Let's have a grown up conversation.
This is a magnificent post on the totality of the Harris fraud, and more importantly the media that created it: Thread by @CraigChamberlin on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App
A very important collation of 4 years of information. Read the whole thing, and pass it around.
I wonder if we'll see anything about this from the state media?
