I agree, I know our Federal Government is trying to change the culture here that was once based on Christian principles to one of a global culture a so call multicultural society where all religions are supposed to live in peace, but what they have done is allow multitudes of Muslims that do not integrate and bring with them their hatreds and violence and set up enclaves in our cities, we don't have this problem with other non Muslim migrants.

This however I cannot control, but as far "loving my neighbor" for example I saw a Chinese guy sitting on the side of the road a few days ago dressed in a chairman Mao outfit in 35 degree heat I stopped and gave him a bottle of water, he thanked me in Chinese, but I also sent the Police to do a welfare check on him in case he was an illegal. Loving your neighbor does not mean we have to be idiots.

As for the my actual neighbors that live next door if I see his dog has escaped I bring it back, the other guy on the other side lost power to his home a week back so I went and isolated the fault and got his power back. I spend some of my time in the State Emergency agency as a volunteer to asset in storms and floods so that helps the wider community, so that is how I put it into practice.

The 'Bovaer situation' is getting a bit of noise – I thought carbon capture was the most idiotic thing I’d heard of but messing with cows’ digestive system to ‘tackle climate change’ takes the cake. A bit like vegan bacon and cheese - stupid and completely unnecessary – except worse because I like cows.

    Waiting for the Hindu outrage.

The latest excess mortality data for Australia is not getting any better –
For the year to August 2024, respiratory disease deaths were 14.0% higher than 2023 and 12.5% higher than in 2022. There have been more than twice as many influenza deaths (628) between January and August in 2024 than in the same period of 2023 (275 deaths) or 2022 (271 deaths). Deaths due to chronic respiratory diseases and pneumonia are also well above the levels recorded in 2023 and 2022.
Deaths due to dementia are also 14% higher in 2024 compared to 2023.

Anecdotally, the number of people getting pneumonia and being floored by flu around here seems unusually high. Of course, people still test for the special flu but don’t feel it necessary to explain why.

Update on Dr Malcolm Kendrick and Zoe Harcombe’s libel case against the Mail on Sunday (it’s over). The finer details open a little window into the UK legal system – the party found liable does not have to issue an apology. Rather, the winning party get to have their statement read out in open court, after first being approved by the judge.

    Some context -
On 3 March 2019, the Defendants published in The Mail on Sunday a series of articles as part of a special report under the headlines “Deadly Propaganda of the Statin Deniers”, “Statin Deniers are putting patients at risk, says Minister”, referring to the then Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock MP, and “There is a special place in hell for the doctors who claim statins don’t work.

If you are stupid enough to take statins just because some GP told you to, you deserve statins.

So the "alleged" united healthcare shooter we know more about then any of the Trump would be assassins.

Some interesting and humorous anecdotes are that apparently had lumbar surgery with 4 pins inserted in there, and his book list was spine mechanic by stu mcgill and "Crooked, outwitting the back pain industry" . I think it's fair to say that if he'd found Starting Strength then we wouldn't be discussing him. But then that CEO would still be walking around so I'm remaining on the fence.

Just to kick off the discussions, copied from X:

    Let me get this straight:

Killer is Luigi Mangione, Ivy League grad with degrees in comp sci, avid reader and active contributor on GitHub.

He has a 130+ IQ but he takes off his mask at a Starbucks to flirt with an employee, then an hour later goes and calmly kills the CEO of a major healthcare company, rides away on a bike.

A week later goes to a local McDonalds where he brings the murder weapon, the fake ID he used to check into a hotel, and a written manifesto on how horrible the American healthcare system is. He somehow gets identified by the cashier after he sits down.

He works on his laptop until police come inside the McDonalds, sitting there with a ghost gun and suppressor he made himself.

    Gotcha.

I think "pride goeth before a fall, and a haughty spirit before destruction" covers it all pretty well.

Interesting conversation with my PCP a month back. I have high cholesterol from genetics, and also my family history shows a high tolerance for our issues (ages from late seventies to early nineties with high cholesterol and blood pressure - even with long smoking history).

She's always been very open and honest with me, and she listens to my concerns and perspectives. She has her own. The only reason she even mentions stations every time I'm in there for my yearly is because the administration tracks all of your conditions and ties them back to procedures and medications. She gets a black mark against her for every patient who clinically (by lab results, anyway) meets the requirements *for the medication*.

She gets an even bigger mark if she doesn't check off that she spoke to me and recommended it.

So, now she brings it up when I'm there, and I politely decline because neither of us want to make her situation worse. It's hard to find a good doctor -- especially if they keep penalizing the good ones.

People have to be on guard from the pervasive lie that such things must only come from the government. As an officer, I would thank you, at least, for actually interacting with the man. The number of welfare checks I perform where people never even got out of their car (or even slowed down) is staggeringly high.

I'm not saying you're not doing well, but rather how much more could you give of yourself if the government didn't take so much from you and waste it.

Can anyone explain the difference in real terms between Israel's "buffer zone" and Russia's "Invasion"?

Also, please keep me updated as to which organisations are in fact the "terrorists" and which ones are "allies" of the West. Hamas are big fans of the new guys in Syria, apparently. Those Al-Qaeda guys.
