Does the "press 3.0" allow you to lift more weight through the addition of muscle mass without sacrificing ROM under load?
Morning Rip,
I've seen the light and are looking to move away from prioritizing the standard comp bench press to focusing on the press as true strength is the goal. My press is exactly shit, not wanting to waste anytime is it worth learning the press 3.0 early or progressing from press 2.0 to 3.0 when the weight advances to a reasonable level? In the next block for the press I plan to run a 5x5, heavy singles, pin presses and include dips as an accessory.
Thankyou for all the articles, books and answering questions on the forum, after many years of trying some useless BS your teachings have all proved to be the best way to go.
Thanks again NM

Personally Rip I don't know, never practiced it. From reading everything on the SS website and the looking at the 60's lifters it would be yes.
You should, it works better for strength training.
I must have just come out of a coma or something. Where can I learn about this Press 3.0? I seem to have missed it completely.
My god, man, this is ridiculous: https://aasgaardco.com/store/books-p...bell-training/
Thanks Rip, understand, I'll start working on it today, appreciate the guidance. Carl, Chase and the Tommy Suggs videos provide a lot of instruction, just lots of practice required.
Doesn't the double lay back just happen on it's own?
