Eat less, move around, lose weight.
It's like magic, or something.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/...ets03_ST_N.htmIs it low carb — or is it low fat? Here's what a new two-year study has found
In the battle between a low-carb diet and a low-calorie, reduced-fat plan, the best weight-loss plan is — either one.
A large study, released Monday, shows both diets produce similar weight loss and improvements in many health measures.

Yes, weightloss is mostly about calories. But low-fat is fucking stupid and has no real science to back it.
"Had similar changes in total cholesterol, blood pressure, percentage of body fat and bone density, but those in the low-carb group had about two times better improvements in their good (HDL) cholesterol than people in the low-fat group."
"Foster says the study also shows that "low-carb diets appear not to be associated with as many adverse consequences as people have thought."
And yet somehow these important facts will not permeate into the general population's knowledge of nutrition. They just won't, because, while these results have been specifically known by the non-idiots in the scientific community for decades, the general population still thinks fat=bad. Astounding.
Good, hopefully this will sink in around here. People seem to have the opinion that there is something magical about 'cutting carbs', from Ripp to the tattoo guy to other regulars. There is not. Eat below maintenance to lose fat, high protein to maintain to lean mass etc.
Healthy fats help you lose fat and don't forget that fat is what men need to make natural test. SO, dropping your fat intake will lower your natural test levels. Great way to sabotage yourself.
It's really amazing how hard you guys clutch to your bacon and cheeseburgers against all reason. You'd rather die than admit an excess, frequent intake of dietary fat is unhealthy. The whole 'eat fat to lose fat' thing is a broscience myth from tnation.Healthy fats help you lose fat
BroIron that's the weakest justification for not cutting fat i've ever heard. I've eaten minimal fat for the last three weeks, my T levels are unchanged. Why? Because the body can produce enough, it does so anyway, dietary cholesterol has little influence on serum cholesterol, and most of us have enough bodyfat for normal function.don't forget that fat is what men need to make natural test. SO, dropping your fat intake will lower your natural test levels. Great way to sabotage yourself.
