    I'd have to dig out the studies, but I'd imagine it's just the common line sepsis pathogens - staph, candida, enterococcus, klebs; maybe more gram negatives than just klebs considering TPN patients with gi disease get translocation of gut flora. Listeria and Yersinia are pretty rare.

    I see. I was thinking that yersinia and listeria are probably the most siderophilic bacteria, but you're probably right that more common pathogens- even if "less" iron loving- are probably more common.
