I hope you are able to squat again. However, I'm afraid none of us can tell. How old are you? You sound a bit old to be broad jumping. But who can tell?
Background: Tore my ACL 20 years ago playing football and did all kinds of awful stuff to it between 1995-2009, got super fat (just shy of 300lbs), did nothing. Surgically repaired ACL and meniscus cleaned up in Jan 2010. Lost a bunch of weight, put some back on, squatted like a bastard 3-4 days a week for a while, was able to squat 400lbs + to depth any day of the week.
Injured (thought to be sprained) my knee performing broad jumps post workout. Turns out, the meniscus is torn again.
I'm waiting on a follow up appointment with my orthopaedic surgeon before squatting again, but if he's able to clean up the cartilage (again), am I gonna be able to squat again?!
Help!
