    I am 43 years old
    208 pounds
    6'2"
I am probably 26% body fat
I've been doing the 3000 calories recommended for those overweight doing NLP.
I've been eating 210 grams of protein and about 300 grams of carbs each day

I was adding 10 pounds per workout for several weeks. Now I'm adding 5 pounds and I missed a couple reps last workout.
Should I continue the 3000 calories, or am I not fat enough to eat only 3000 calories? Any suggestions on how to find the best caloric intake to meet the challenge while not becoming even more overweight?

I tried to search for this in previous posts, but I could not find anything that helped.

I'd start by bumping up to 350 grams of carbohydrate per day and going from there. The key to doing this and not getting legitimately fat is to control the fat intake. You still have room to gain more weight though. 230 would be a nice place to be for now. What are your numbers at?

    175 squat from 115
    140 bench from 105
    100 OHP from 65
    265 DL from 175
I’ve been at it for a little less than a month

I’ll definitely increase my carb intake! Thanks

Yeah definitely eat more. This sounds like a leverage issue if you are struggling with those numbers. That said, less than a month isn't very long. Have you missed any reps?

I missed reps at 190 squat and 110 OHP. It was excessively hard with the squat. I felt tanked with the OHP.

I went down 10% in weight to ask the nutrition question and to see if eating more or different made things better. I had done 10 pounds every session up to those numbers, so i switched to 5 pound jumps as well.

Yeah you are probably not eating enough then.
