    Question Skinny with High LDL

    Dear Robert,

I'm from India and have been doing NLP for some time. I'm 32 yo, 5'9" and currently weigh 61 kg

    My numbers are
    squat: 60 kg
    bench: 47.5 kg
    press: 37.5 kg
    deadlift: 85 kg

Also, when I got my routine bloodwork done last week my LDL was 169.2 mg/dL. And my doctor has now advised me to avoid egg yolks for two months and repeat LDL. I also never ate beef/mutton

I understand that my numbers are horrible and I must eat more. But considering my high LDL what advise would you give me on how to proceed? Also how much should I weigh ideally?

    Thanks,
    Susheel

Did this guy miss the memo that you are 61 kg? If your LDL is that high right now, chances are that dietary changes are unlikely to have an effect on it. However, his laminated index card says to tell you to restrict egg yolks. That being said, did you get the lab value done fasted?

Those are very good lab values. I don't see an issue here. A HDL of 62.1 mg/dL is excellent and also driving your total up. Trigs are below 100 mg/dL too. Makes me wonder if this is some sort of lab error.
