I see no problem with this.
Here in Germany supermarkets carry 500g cups of low fat quark, which I believe is somewhat comparable to cottage cheese.

Nutritional values per 100g are:
70 kcal
0.3g fat
4.2g carbs
12.1g protein
The stuff is easy to eat and dirt cheap, just over a dollar per 500g cup if you shop smart.
Any reason to not go KOQAD for a super convenient 120g of protein every day?

"Easy to eat", haha, good one! The stuff is dry and not tasty unless you add liquid/fat/flavour/sweetener - which alters the nutritional values and/or adds more volume to eat.
You can eat it sometimes easily, of course, but 1kg a day will get old really fast. I'd recommend starting with one package (500g) per day, that's far more doable for longer than a couple of weeks.
