This thread is a great idea! I hit a 470 SGDL today for a 5 pound PR, followed by a new 3 Rep PR with 400.
Probably my last PR's at 55, I'll be 56 in less than 2 weeks. Stay Strong Everyone!!

    Nice lifts men!

By coincidence I was out in the garage today working on a project and decided to do a few bench presses. I haven't worked out for a week since I am trying to heal my quads which have been chronicly sore for a few months.

The bench presses were going good and I worked up to my previous paused PR of 335. I felt I had a bit left in the tank so tried 345 which previously was my best ever touch and go and which I barely completed. Got my son out to give me a spot. New paused PR!

Like Shug, my birthday will be in August and I will be 54.

Turned 54 couple of weeks ago, been trying to get back to an old PR in the deadlift I did many years ago, pulled 440lb for one rep (barefoot and no belt or wraps just chalk). Something that has eluded me for a long time. I have a physical job with 12 hour shifts (4 on 4 off) which alternate days and nights. I use a cpap device to prevent the sleep apnea but sleep is still very much rubbish as I don't get enough after a night shift. I'm aiming for 500lbs.

5 pound Sumo PR today, followed by a new 3 Rep Sumo PR with 405. Small PR's eventually add up to Big PR's.
These will be my last PR's as a 55 year old.
