    Slightly abbreviated from my log.

    More singles.

Hip Belt Squats: 135-225-315-405-455-475, PR! Beat my last single months ago by 40 lbs. I thought I could do more but got so intoxicated by success, strain, and dots before my eyes that I spazzed on plate math, never having dealt with the prospect of 5 plates a side before. That 495 was within my grasp but I got so transfixed with room left on the bar and how I could only have fit another 25 lb. plate on which would have been achievable.

CGBP: 45-95-135-155-185-205, 225. Not bad considering I hadn't done regular benches for over 6 months and my best competition bench was 242. Had a little left in the tank but didn't recruit a spotter. Next time.

    Hammer High Row: 90-180-270-320-340-360.

If someone had told me I'd be handling weights like this even in my 30's I'd have been skeptical. Well, the squats any how. Amazing to me.

415 rack pull for one set of three.

It might take me six hours, but I can go down to the wharf and pull the tide in.

Heart disease can bite my shiny metal ass.

And the hits just keep on coming.

    Weight: 269.

Last session of singles for a while.

    Push Press: 45-95-115-135-150-165-170 PR!

    High Pulls: 95-115-145-165-190-200 PR's!

Cable Rotations: 120 lbs. for 3 sets of 8.

Session was 53 minutes long burning 412 calories with an average HR of 114 bpm @ 74% of MHR with a peak of 197 bpm.

The weight increase this week puzzled and frustrated me a little since I haven't been eating more. So I got out my trusty old tape and took some measurements. I haven't done this in around 5 years figgering "what's the point?" I didn't really feel a need for more size, in fact, I'd rather lose some weight. The latter goal just seems to defeat me, I don't eat a lot anyway and usually am a little hungry trying to restrain myself. But, as it happened I got a surprise.

    Wrist: was 7 5/8" now is 7 7/8"

Arm: was 7 3/4" now is 18" plus a little

    Chest: was 54" now is 54 7/8"

    Quad: was 26 1/2" now is 27 1/4"

Amazing stuff at this late remove.

All proud of my 385 zercher but looking at it I realize I had the rack too high - next time maybe...

Congrats on the 385 PR!! For reference, I do them with the bottom of the bar 24" from the floor.
