He's using straps anyway, so have him widen his grip to add ROM.
I have a trainee who finishes the deadlift with the bar 3" above his patellas due to his long arms.
As a result, rack pulls are heavy with a short range of motion. Halting deadlifts are essentially just deadlifts for him.
From my understanding of SS:BBT, I currently have him start rack pulls 1" under the tibial tuberosity. I have him finish the halting deadlift about 1/2" above the patella.
What modifications, if any, would you make to the starting and finishing positions of these lifts based on his arm length?
