What should an intermediate lifter who just found out about starting strength do?
I am 21, 6'1 220lbs, with (S:480, D:565, P:195, B:290). I have been powerlifting for about 4 years, in 2 competitions. I no longer want to compete, so general strength is my goal.
Should I do NLP? Should that be starting at 135 on everything or something heavier? Or should I start with a 4-day split or another novice-intermediate program?
Thanks.
I did. Doesn't answer my question, which is:
should I
A. start NLP then go on to practical programming or
B. just start right at Practical programming without NLP
(If my lifts were weaker I know I would do NLP, my question just pertains to intermediates new to the method)
No, you didn't. Or if you did, you didn't understand it.
Someone who has never done the NLP will be a novice. So the first step is to go through the NLP. You'll exhaust it quickly because you've had some lifting experience prior. After you've exhausted NLP read Practical Programming to go into Intermediate programming.
