I'm currently basing my training on the Phase 3 "split" of the novice progression. Regular deadlifts alternate with block pulls bellow the knee and haltings. Last Wednesday I was supposed to pull 467x5 for a new deadlift PR, but failed miserably (ended up doing one set of 2 and three sets of 1).
My question is: despite feeling well recovered from training I hadn't been sleeping so well for a few days leading to that training session. Should I retry that weight on my next heavy pull day or move on to block pulls and see if I have better luck next time?
