Do any of you guys lose your appetite the day after a heavy lifting session?

Lifted yesterday, came home, had loads to eat and went to bed.

Woke up and no appetite whatsoever. Should I force feed myself? Is a suppressed appetite unusual the day after lifting?

Usually if I eat loads and then go to bed I wake up with no appetite. I either try to eat longer before I go to sleep or I just force myself in the morning.

If I really stuff myself before bed I sometimes feel sick the next day into the afternoon.

If I only ate when I have an appetite, I would still be 175 lbs@6'1.

I have a loss of appetite directly after training, in the hours following. really have to force myself to eat anything.

Are you really sore the next day?

I never get sore at all. Sometimes get restless legs, cramps in my feet and tight muscles but never DOMS.

    Maybe you're over training?

Overtraining is typically something that takes multiple sessions and doesn't just come on after a single heavy workout. Also, I believe the OP is a novice so this further removes the possiblity IMO.

I'm with Corrie on this one. Time your eating so you have 1-2 hours before going to bed after eating. Give yourself time to digest it a little.

Also maybe you need more sugar/high GI carbs in that window. After a workout I can eat 4 cups of fruity pebbles and be absolutely starving 40 minutes later.
