    hey rip,

    was wondering if you could take a look at my squat:

    a fellow lifter noted that perhaps my hip drive was exaggerated. it is somewhat similar to the hip drive you coached in this video I think:

    I'm thinking maybe I should get the head back a little more to make the bar path straighter.

    You're driving your hips up at the expense of your back angle in this set of squats. You can't just shove your ass up and flop over, because that radically increases the lever arm against your hips. You have to drive hips while keeping the chest up, which is not the same thing as lifting the chest. And the press shows you digging your chin down as the bar goes up instead of driving your chest forward.
