Erectors + Fascia
I've been having lower back tightness for probably 2 weeks and it hasn't subsided. A search reveals that the erectors are growing faster than the fascia that encloses it, but I couldn't find what happens next.
Does the fascia eventually grow to fit the larger erectors so my back doesn't always feel ridiculously tight?

Me too
I just had the same problem. Go to a really good deep tissue massage therapist and get your back worked out.
When I say good deep tissue massage I mean the following will occur during them working out your tough spots.
1) It will hurt
2) You won't be able to speak, your breathing will increase rapidly.
3) You will think "i can take this"
4) Then you will think "i can't take this"
5) You will tell the therapist "that really hurts"
6) The therapist will probably ignore you until you say it again.
So far I"m getting a massage bi-weekly and it seems to be working out.
