    Y'all:

I'm on TRT and want to discuss training in this context with someone who has a experience with TRT and related compounds. I dont think Rip wants us discussing these types of things on his boards, so out of respect to him, please send me a private message.

TRT is not "steroids". I think it would be encouraged.

Rip could care less pretty sure. Mods please chime in.

Public thread would benefit more people than the cloak-n-dagger sh!t

Rip has openly stated in Q&A videos posted on this site that if you're over 40 (and male) you should get your testosterone checked and explore TRT if you're low. Some of the coaches are open about being on TRT as well, so a public discussion certainly seems appropriate and beneficial.

but then again, I don't what a "related compound" is.

Regarding training/programming, I thought I heard one of the SSC's say if one was hypothectically starting teh Roids**,
you should just maybe do your LP over again.
Or should I say, a slight reset LP.

Recovery cycle might be totally different now. Could be a novice 48hr thing again. If you are lucky

** the could also mean an aggressive TRT, where your pre-TRT numbers are real sh!tty . . .this is just my thought here

Whereas I recently started TRT and kept my programming the same.

My thinking was, I was already 12 weeks into a HLM program that was giving me slow & steady progress with my natural T levels.
So this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see how much the T helps.

I'm doing a little bit of autoregulation, in that when I try to set a new 3RM every 3 weeks, I keep going until I hit what I think is an @9 or harder effort.
So if my strength is actually increasing faster with T, the program will accomodate it.

I'll make a graph in a couple months.

    makes sense ^

    SS/PP3 programming isn't autoregulated.

    And to my previous post:
I could see "starting over" if say you were under 200 before TRT and now over 600 or 700 per your followup bloodwork, or something like that.
(and you were having improved other aspects post TRT, like much better sleep, energy, etc)

But if its a just mild bump you are getting, I could see just holding onto your current programming.

As long as the discussion is about TRT and stays on that topic, I think you're fine. Rip has publicly spoken positively about TRT for those who need it, many times.

Maybe I'm using the term too loosely. I mean that the amount I increase my working weights from cycle to cycle, is influenced by my perceived difficulty. I'm not mechanically adding 5 pounds or whatever.

This isn't all the way to "RPE programming" of course.

I’m currently on TRT. Started at 175 free T and last test two months ago free T was at 490 so the doctor doubled my prescription to 200mg/ml a week. Took another blood test Monday, awaiting results. I’m also nearing the end of my LP and to be honest it hasn’t improved my recovery at all. I miss lifts about every other time. (My god it is such a grind) Anyway I think Feigenbaum even said TRT is more of a quality of life change rather than an anabolic difference. You’d need a 500+mg/ml to see a difference in recovery I’d imagine.
    My two cents.
