Where are you? Winter months are dry months. I've got a fissure on my thumb that probably won't heal until spring when the heat gets turned off and humidity returns.
I'd avoid the pumice and moisturize those digits.

Hmmm, maybe that's it. I'm in the northeast, and it's been a cold, dry winter this year. Strangely, it's only really two fingertips and a portion of a third. The others are fine.
I get that too, especially on my thumbs and palm of the hand where the bar knurl touches on squats. Will probably fix itself in spring and summer, as another poster mentioned. By then you'll have other weather related problems to worry about
I'd hurry-up and rob a bank or something. They would never be able to match your fingerprints.
