    Hi guys.

    I have a problem with my hands on the bar when i perform the squat.

    Its like i cant get my hands enough back behind my shoulders, anyone with a tip?

    I start with a grip as narrow as I can manage and start bringing it in as I warm up. Shoulder dislocates with a band/towel/broomstick between warm up sets are particularly helpful in getting my shoulders warm.

    What they said. Also whatever you are lifting there looks way too light. Put some weight on the bar and you'll find you have to move your arms in to keep from dropping it.

    Yep. Nothing like the fear of dropping heavy shit to motivate the use of good technique.

    I hav tried the towel thing were i go from my belly to my back, can you guys recommend any other excercise for this problem? thx for the responses

    I recommend an excercise called "squatting" -- and add some weight every week. I assume that video is the empty bar -- put some weight on and film a real video from 3/4 rear view and post it to the technique forum. You won't learn how to squat by doing empty bar squats and worrying about your hands. Once there's enough weight to need your hands to control it your body will figure out a way, then film that and post it and smart people will help you get it right.
