    Default Which Shoes

Hi. I am looking at getting some powerlifting shoes. I have narrowed it down to:

    Inzer Pillar-http://www.inzernet.com
    BAF High Top Powerlifting Shoes-http://www.quest-nutrition.com
    Crain's Power Shoes-http://www.crain.ws/shoes.html

Does anyone have any experience with any of these shoes or opinions on them? Is there another kind of shoe I should look at? I am a somewhat wide squatter and don't have problem making depth with my Chucks on. Stats 5'5" 195 lbs male max squat 405 x 5.

Thanks in advance for your time and attention.

You can look into the Titan shoes too. I don't know any of those, but the Titans look solid.

I purchased a pair of oly shoes from risto sports, have had them about a year and love them for squats, Chuck Taylors or Adidas Sambas for deadlifts. The squat shoes aren't as expensive as other oly shoes either so that's another plus.

I'm not saying this to dissuade you, because I like buying new shit as much as anyone does, but maybe I'm not getting the purpose. Unless you wanted to try an olympic weightlifting shoe, why don't you just stick with the Chucks? I spend was too much time looking at videos of other, much larger individuals lifting and they almost to a man wear Chucks, unless they are completely raw and an olympic shoe is a little more favored.

My point is that you're already wearing the best shoe for a wide squatter.

If you wanted to try an olympic shoe, I have the Rogue Do-Wins and Nike Romaleos and both are good shoes, just depends on what you want to spend.

I have these and love them. They feel like your feet are cemented to the floor. They are not good for really anything other than squatting though.

I actually have a pair for sale, though a sale is pending. Send me a PM with your contact info and if the deal falls through I'll e-mail you.
