    Hey guys,

Back on track after 5 years. Would love some critique on my form (and any tips on how I can improve my faults): Squats 35kg - YouTube

It seems like my back is bending a little bit when I'm at the lowest point? Am I right?

    Thanks a lot!

    1. Take some time on setup. Do not hurry. (Your grip is not correct if you want to do Starting Strength Low Bar squat and also your bar position seems incorrect.)
    2. Look down
    3. Knees OUT not forward.
    4. Try to use Valsalva.
    5. 35kg seems to light for your workset.

Hey, have your ever read 'Starting Strength'?

    Back is vertical.

    Knees move through entire movement.

    Looking forward at mirror.

    Bar too high on back.

    Hand placement.

    Flopping down into the bottom.

    Lots to do here.

Thanks! My knees are actually out, it's the camera angle. Regarding my workset I'm working my way up. Just started lifting again some week ago. I've not read Starting Strength, though I've been trying to follow Rippetoes advice. Will look more closely.

The book goes into extreme detail how to prepare for the squat, how to perform and finish it, what to look out for, and how to fix potential problems. It's a reasonable quick read, especially compared to the many, many hours of lifting you have in front of yourself. Do your homework first – read the book, implement it, and then we'll be able to help much more effectively.

That goes for the programming and your other technique too (I checked your bench video). You'll benefit a lot if you start to read the book as soon as possible.
