Default 57 Days of Starting Strength ... results.

    • starting strength seminar october 2024
    • starting strength seminar december 2024
    • starting strength seminar february 2025
    Day 1

    (3x5) Squat: 185 lbs
    (3x5) Bench: 135 lbs
    (1x5) Deadlift: 185 lbs
    (3x5) Press: 95 lbs
    (3x5) Power Clean: 95 lbs
    Bodyweight: 175 lbs

    Day 57

    Squat: 330 x 3
    Bench: 200 x 5
    Deadlift: 335 x 3
    Press: 135 x 5
    Cleans: 185 x 3
    Bodyweight: 210.1

The routine was followed verbatim as set forth in Starting Strength, First Edition. Nothing else. I am not an athlete, nor have I ever been (in gym class, it was me or that fat kid for last pick). I don't believe age matters, but others do ... so fwiw, I'm thirty-seven. Bone structure wise, pure ecto. I'm 6'4" and my wrists are about six inches in diameter.

Were I born in ancient Sparta, I would have likely been dropped off the cliff.

    Bastards.

No matter, life is good. A little muscle goes a long way to improving one's disposition.

Thanks Rip, I owe you one.

Great work fluxboy. 35 lbs in under two months - nice.

Out of curiosity, are you still in the "novice" phase? If so, what kind of increments are you making in the squat?

Is this 57 workouts or 2 months of training?
