Default Barbell Rows and forearm pain

Somebody posted a question about this on Coach Rip's Q&A and Rip basically just told the guy to stop being a pussy. Other than just ''manning up'', what can I do about this? Everytime I row I feel pain in my left forearm for a couple of days and it's starting to impact my grip on other lifts. Thanks

    Try dumbbell curls.

Anything over 250 gives me wicked spasms if I'm not well hydrated. At 300 I usually go through an elbow and shoulder warm up between each set. Post heavy rows I stretch my wrists to keep the smaller muscles loose. Try using heat before and after anything that screws the forearms up. If you're right handed make sure you squeeze harder with your left. If you are losing tension throughout sets you could be putting stress on the forearms. You could also be pulling at a slightly different angle with the left arm. Many things could be going on. None worth jacking your grip up with.

Have you tried varying the grip width and elbow position slightly? You may be able to find a more comfortable position.
