Texas method, 3 day split -> upper/lower split
I've been doing the conventional 3 day TM split for a few months. Now with school and work, I can't afford a 3 hour time slot anywhere for a full volume workout. So I want to split volume into a Squat day and Bench day.
Naturally, I would also want to split Intensity day up accordingly.
for example:
off
upper volume
lower volume
off
upper intensity
lower intensity
off
I have two questions:
1. Which day should I put first, Squat day or Bench day? I would guess that bench day first would be best?.. because a squat session will leave me fatigued the next day
2. Where can I do OHP? I emphasize the bench press because I compete in powerlifting. I love OHP and would like to still progress on it. On the 3 day split, I was doing 3x5 OHP on recovery day, doing linear progression adding 2.5lb per week.

I prefer upper first for the reason you stated, but you don't have to.
Just do it after Benching. May have to drop the weight a little but no big deal.
