    Default power clean for the bench press

    I don't get it. How does the power clean increase the bench press?

    I heard stories of it happening...guy did nothing but weightlifting style training...no benching and his bench went up

    Oh okay. Do you think maybe it's cause the shoulders are forced to support the bar? Basically, if shoulder endurance is increased, does that mean the bench press goes up?

    Idk the science behind it...I really doubt its that, the frontal deltoids don't support the bar that much its mostly the traps in the rack...and the frontal deltoids contribution to in the bench press isn't all that much (compared to the triceps and pectorals major) if I remember correctly from anatomy

    Maybe if the traps get stronger, it's easier to stabilize during the bench press.
