Default Squat - low bar position

In the squat, I have been having problems keeping the low bar position on my back. When I load the bar onto my back, it feels like I have to hunch over to keep the bar on my back near the lower part of the scapula. Even when I move my hand closer (almost shoulder width), I still fell as if I need to hunch over. When I do this, I have trouble keeping a low back arch. Thus, I have been squatting with the bar resting below the traps and across my delts. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You have a completely incorrect impression of where the bar goes. From your description, I think you have arrived at the correct position accidentally. This is discussed in the book pretty thoroughly.
