So I've heard the Asics Hyper Throw shoes are a pretty decent cheap alternative as a lifting shoe. From what I've gathered, all their shoe sizes are standard width. I usually wear size 11 wide pretty snug. About how much bigger should I go to compensate for my wide feet in these shoes?

It's a cheap alternative if and only if you don't want a raised heel. Most folks want a raised heel for squats.

I don't need one. My flexibility is not an issue at all, neither is my quadricep strength. I say that because a lot of times people need a raised heel because of flexibility issues, or they want more stress put on their quads. I don't need either. I just wanna squat without a squish.
    I don't wanna squatsh.

Doesn't necessarily have to do with strength or flexibility.

OK. So if I'm a size 11 wide (EE), should I go for a size 12 standard (D) width? Or more?

I went with the standard size and they were ok. I wear a 14 in Nike or regular Asics shoe, and the hyper throws were sized about the same. Since you have a wider foot, they should be snug which is a good thing.

The nice thing about these shoes is that a lot of stores carry them. Try on a pair and see what you think. :-)

I've been looking and neither my nearest Foot Locker nor Dick's Sporting Goods carry them in store. I've come up empty as to what other stores might have them.

The shoes fit about 1/2 size up from Chucks. If you wear an 11 in Chucks for lifting, get an 11.5 hyper throws.
