Deadlift check
Hey there!
i was doing the deadlift today at my gym here in Germany, but i don't know, i had to stop after two reps because i got the strange feeling that i might be doing something wrong. there is no pain or such thing, i just felt insecure - maybe because now it is twice my bodyweight. Thats not that much but... are there bad mistakes i make?

Sven, I like your name. Therefore, I am going to answer your question. Your problem is that you are on your toes. The bar needs to be about 2.5 cm from your shins at the start. Then, don't move the bar. This will place your butt a little higher and make your shins more vertical at the start. That is the only real fix needed. You are holding your back in extension pretty well. Get yourself some weightlifting shoes, too.
