Default Kettlebell Swings on Texas Method Assistance Day?

10- 12 minutes of kettlebell swings on Texas Method assistance day. Probably not going to help my squat and dead-lift too much but I want the endurance and I miss the exersise. My instincts tell me Rip would be against this.

Obviously, any activity that depends on repeated submaximal efforts for 10-12 minutes is not going to add to training for a maximum force production goal. But hey, don't let that stop you. Proceed.

While we're on the subject of cattleball swings, what's your opinion of swinging heavier weights for lower reps? I made myself a T-handle by drilling a hole and through an old barbell sleeve and sticking a bar in there. I've been loading it with 110-135lb and swinging it for 3-5 sets of 10-20 reps as assistance on squat and deadlift days.

It's probably a lot of fun.

Sounds like we could end up with another "dynamic good-morning" situation.

I'd use regular KBs and did (double) KB cleans (or snatches) instead, if you know how or willing to learn. Yes, cleans, not swings. I'd leave (lighter) swings for conditioning and back rehab. Double KB snatch is real fun!
