    hi coach,

    my name is howie and i'll be attending your barbell cert in may in oakville ontario. my issue is that i had dislocated my shoulder couple of years ago playing hockey, it has come out couple of times since then, but it once came out doing back squats, i was doing low bar at the time at a crossfit affiliate in toronto.

    i've read your starting strength book and been coached at the affiliate on the low bar, but everytime i've tried the low bar technique i feel like my shoulder is about to pop out again (am i possibly doing something wrong without you seeing my squat form?) the high bar technique seems much better for my shoulder. so my question is, will it be alright if i did high bar squats at your cert?

    It's fine with me. But the real issue is your shoulder. It sounds a bit creaky to me. Have you had it evaluated to see what ligament is still ruptured?

    thanks coach...i have had it checked but no mri done on it, just x-rays
