WL Shoes Testimonial
I've been weightlifting for ten years and always though WL shoes were a non-essential. Based on testing out the first pair I've ever worn for 20 minutes, hell yeah, they're absolutely worth it for anyone who is reading this site.
I spent some birthday-gift money on a pair of Adipowers. Yes, they're $200 ($160+shipping at Eastbay), and yes, they're obnoxious bright red. They arrived today and I thought they felt a little big, so I ran into the gym to try them out, rather than putting them through a whole workout tomorrow and then potentially trying to return worn shoes.
I squatted a few reps at 45, 135, 225, and 315. Wow, what an immediate difference. It's like being glued to the floor. All the stability stuff people talk about is absolutely true. This is not a subtle difference, people. A couple of trainers asked to try them and were similarly impressed.
While I need to send these back in favor of a smaller size, consider me a convert. I don't necessarily think the average lifter probably needs to spend $200, I would recommend them to anyone who is serious about strength acquisition.

Pleased for you.
Interestingly I had to go up a size for my Adidas WL shoes.

They make a big difference. I'll occasionally spring to buy a pair for my more serious clients. Gave away a pair today, in fact - only $100 Do-Wins, but my clients don't pay me that much...

My Adipower's in all their radioactive redness arrived last Friday, and I feel as if I am glued to the ground.
Love them!

I snagged these bad boys in September (I think) for $115 shipped. By far the best weightlifting shoe I've used.
