Stall? Not looking at details maybe?
Hi Mark,
Will keep this short. I have read SSBBT 3rd edition and PPST as well. I have been strength "training" for 8 months now (June 2016) once graduated from college playing baseball. I had been exercising in college for breif stints but would always stall due to playing year round/not eating enough, and rununing alot. I am 6"2 and was weighing in at 180lbs. I had a 30in vertical/ran a 6.49 60yrd dash/ 9"2 broad jump/1.68 10yrd sprint. Once I began strength training (from June 2016-Oct 2016), I went from 180lbs-228lbs, my strength was quickly progressing. My lifts went from:
(June 2016)
Squat:275x1
Bench:245x1
Press:135x1
Deadlift (poor tech):410x1
PC: 215x1
PS: 135x1
To: (OCT 2016)
Squat: 360x3
Bench: 295x2
Press: 170x4
Deadlift 405x4 (SS technique Overhand grip no hook)
PC/PS: 245x1/155x1
I took on a warehouse job to save money for any internship and was working 76hours a week and I had to reduce training b/c I was not recovering. My lifts dropped dramatically. I have down 2-3 resets from (Nov. 2016-Mar 2017) and would get back to my strength levels from October and would stall again. I have tracked every calorie/every hour of sleep since June 2016 when I started and have logged every training session as well. My body weight went from 228lb-240lbs from Nov-Mar. I have been sitting around 240bs for 3-4 weeks now. My best lifts during this 4 month period:
(Jan 2017)
Squat: 370x2
Bench: 275x1
Press: 180x1
Deadlift:415x5 (double overhand no hook)
PC: 235x1
PS: 155x1
To: (Mar 2017)
Squat: 360x1
Bench 290x3
Press: 175x3
Deadlift: 435x4 (double overhand no hook grip)
PC/PS: 245x3/185x3
Here are my macros from the past month per day....... P/Carbs/Fat/Fiber 7075kCal 289g/668g/361.5g/81g. I eat the same meals everyday outside of Lunch and dinner. They change from time to time. But everyting else food wise is consistent. I dont and have never taken any supplements. I also get 6-9hrs of sleep a day. I am not sure if I keep stalling due to inadqute recovery between sessions or due to lack of training stimulus. Your input is much appreciated. I have training logs if needed. (anthropometry: Torso 19in/tibias 16in/Femur 19 3/8in/ Forearms 11 1/8in/Humerus 12 3/8in/OH reach 8"0ft/ Wingspan 76.5 in).
