Dear Mr. Rippetoe and all the forum members.

I translate sports and medicine literature into Russian.

I already asked for help at this forum and was provided with a apt and clear reply.

My next two questions are analogical:

PLease explain the meaning of terms marked by bold and underlined text (taken from Advanced Concepts of Strength and Conditioning by Brian Biagioli)

    1. Crosslink exercises using unilateral, asymmetrically-loaded movement patterns are relevant to aiding frequent directional changes (tennis)
    2. Movement wise, tennis is a classic “chain sport”, meaning it relies heavily on efficient force coupling between motion segment and provides repetitive demand on acceleration and deceleration. (Is there any replacement term for chain sport? Or maybe it is possible to provide classic definition? Or widen the original term used?)

    Anyways, thanks for you attention!

Not terms we use, as we don't find them to be useful.

    Thank you so much!
Your reply is clear! I mean that terms used in Starting Strength are clear, comprehensive and intergral, even for a native speaker of Russian, and terminolgy such as "Crosslink exercises" and "chain sport" seems to be secondarty, artificaial and sophisticated.

I'd like to pay obeisance to you, Mr. Rippetoe, from the whole Russian-speaking community!
