So I've been weightlifting using a 4-day split system my friend made for me-
(mon- legs, tues- chest/tri, thurs- back/bi, fri- shoulders)
-since july. I took a couple months off for volleyball season but that's over now. (So I've been training for 7 months?)
And then, i happened to stumble upon Starting Strength after doing some research and I realized I should have started with this!
I still want to get stronger though so here's what I can do so far
I'm 5'9" at 148 pounds
Squat: 185lb x 6
Deadlift: 205lb x 6
Bench press: 145 x 6
Press: 75 x 6
Power clean (never tried it, I'm planning to start it with the program)
Do i still qualify as a beginner? Should I start a little lighter, for ex. squat at 165lbx3x5 and deadlift at 185x1x5 and progress linear from there?
