    Hey, coach Rippetoe
I have read all your books and enjoyed them all. Thanks to your books, I believe that squating is the answer to most people’s problems. If you have noticed a spike in book sales in Australia, it probably can be attributed to my inability to not tell every person, which I have the chance to talk to, about your writtings.
Anyway, my question is a programming one. I have been following your program exactly as written and have had great success. I have moved onto your program outlined in PP (Location 2011, Kindle version). I wanted to change this program so that my brother and I can bench press together on Mondays and Wednesdays because on Fridays we are not able to train together. A 2-week schedual would look like this

    Week 1
    Monday Wednesday Friday
    Squat Squat Squat
    Bench Press Bench Press Press
    Deadlift Chin-ups Power Clean

    Week2
    Monday Wednesday Friday
    Squat Squat Squat
    Press Bench Press Press
    Pull-ups Deadlift Chin-ups

Is there a problem with putting the bench press workouts so close together? Generally, does someone need more time than 48 hours to recover from the bench press? Is there another issue with modifying the program like this?
Also, where would be the best place to add dips into this program?

Your knowledge on this would be appreciated and I hope my questions are not too stupid.
    Thanks

The recent spike in Australian sales is now explained. This program modification is entirely within the realm of sanity, as are all that preserve the essence of the progression while permitting a practical training schedule. Leave the dips out until you exhaust this program.
