Default Squat is getting hard asf near 5 RM?

    • starting strength seminar december 2024

    Last completed
    Squat 295 x 5 x 3
    DL- 330 x 5
    Press- 157.5 x 5 x 3
Bench - due to constant resets fixing form and technique 220 x 5 x 3

    Age 28
    Height 6’0 - 178lbs

    Still doing LP

    Mon
    Squat 300 x 5, 4, 3 ,2 -
    Friday
    Squat 300 x 5 ,4, 3, 1 ,1 -

All the first set of 5 is a gut buster,

Having problem finding the bounce at the bottom, and also a bit tipping forward when descending,
Bar a bit rolling on my back, (olympic bar has no middle knurling)

Feeling that i am getting near my 5 RM

You're not eating enough and your squats might be high.

Is there any advantage/disadvantage if moving the squat to early intermediate? Without reallly milking out the rest of the LP,

Mate, you're not eating enough, and no programming in the world is going to change that.

Your numbers are at the stage before LP gets really hard, (end of LP should be approaching a 330lbs squat and a 400lbs deadlift)

I fecked this up too, around the time "a clarification" was released. I wanted to lose weight at 185lbs. I stopped worrying about the scale and added 60lbs to my squat.

I'm 4 inches shorter than you and was 20 lbs heavier than you by the end of LP. My waist size didn't increase. You wont get fat if you add plates to the bar.

Start eating 4k calories or however much you tall people need to eat to grow.

    Newtoss,
Since you don't want any of these guys to help you, maybe you should pay a coach. Maybe then could get you to share some information that could get you the help you want.
