You were right the first time with the pronunciation, by the way. It's "anti-cause-uhl". As in an anticausal system, or a system whose current output depends only on future outputs. In practice, and less mysteriously, it's a system with memory that says something about a signal at time t, using information about times t+1, t+2, etc, with the resulting output about time t being delayed.

Atheism is the core (anti)-religion of communism (very properly called "Godless Communism" by the old timers). And it has repeatedly led to the mass slaughter of an adopting society's own people. At least Islam is a properly time-selected religion and offers socially stabilizing benefits, even if the burkas might get itchy. But I think such contemporary extremism is pretty clearly a reaction to secular Judeo-Western cultural imperialism. Extremism is necessary for fighting off conquest.

Mass atheism always leads to precisely the opposite of social stability. Islam at least offers a structure that is congruent with the limitations of human nature. Mass atheism, on the other hand, is the attempted revolution of human nature. This naturally results in it working as a society dissolving acid, and I don't think you need a "sky friend" to see this. As you would put it, it's just part of the phenomenology.

But I go even further than that. I think the evidence that Atheism/"Godless Communism" is just the devolution of society into the ancient cults of human sacrifice grows stronger every day. Those little nordic countries that seemed stable for a while with socialism and no religion were just running on the fumes of Christianity, and have finally started to show unmistakable signs of becoming suicidal. Clearly this is because their social firewall was torn down by the "Godless Communists". A city can survive for a while with its walls torn down, but just wait long enough and it will be sacked.

I know what religion is for, and I do not advocate for mass legislated atheism. Notice that Putin doesn't either. I am not an evangelical atheist, like the guys who write books about it. The fact that I have no invisible friends (except for Thor and Odin) does not mean that I advocate for a rudderless society. That doesn't work, obviously. But Islam REQUIRES submission, and I will not submit. I'll bet you won't either.
