Push the ground away with your feet while keeping your chest up and the bar in contact with your legs.
After I setup my deadlift, do I start the lift with only my legs and then throw in my back when I get the bar up to my knees? That's what it seems like Rippetoe was trying to say in SS because I believe from experience that trying to start with your back is what rounds it, is this true? Or should I just start lifting with my entire body. Currently my deadlift is lower than my squat so I'm trying to figure it out.

Everything goes at once. Nothing individual leads off. As Tom said, keep the bar close and push the ground away from the weight. Don't jerk the bar up.
