Default Squat check - non-vertical bar path

30 y.o. male, height 5'7", body weight is 161 lbs (was about 142 in September). Re-running linear progression since August, currently follow Advanced Novice programming with 2.2-3.3 lbs jumps, progressing nicely.

For several workouts I was squatting a bit too deep which caused butt wink and back pain. Also my knees were sliding forward about 0.5-1" at the bottom, which probably explains pain near the points where my knees touch each other. Now it seems that these problems have been mostly fixed, but bar path isn't vertical. I'm not sure what causes this. I think that I shouldn't start standing straight at the beginning, lean forward slightly more instead. Also probably there are other issues that I didn't notice. Would be grateful for any feedback.

This is my third work set at 227 lbs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=as-aC4FBVOw

I think you need to focus on driving your hips HARD out of the bottom. Reps get slightly more shallow as the set progresses, but overall not bad from what I can see here.

Thank you very much, Mac! Will focus on hip drive more, currently re-reading respective SS chapter.

As for the non-vertical bar path, it didn't happen until the most recent workouts. I guess it could be caused (besides lack of hip drive) due to a recent change of my eye gaze direction. Previously I was looking about 1-2 feet in front of me, and now about 4 feet. If this is the cause, my balance should improve as I get used to look this way. Could this be the case?
