    Default Is this enough food?

    Greetings all,

So Ive read starting strength and a bunch of other articles by Mark along with watching his videos and I'm ready to get started. Ive noticed several times that he has recommended eating around 6000-7000 calories. I'm 18, 5'10 and 140 by the way.

Ive tried putting the diet Ive layed out into several caloric intake calculators but Ive gotten different results each time (everything from 4000-8000 calories).

Do you guys think this is enough food?

    6 eggs full
    2.5 cups oatmeal
    3 cups whole milk
Apple + Glass of orange Juice

    Mid Morning Snack

    2 table spoons peanut butter
    3 cups whole milk
    half cup almonds

    Lunch
6oz turkey brease in two grilled cheese sandwhiches
    bowl of veg soup
    3 cups wholemilk

    Dinner
    3 x 2oz steak burgers with buns
2 cups brown rice with stir fry veg
    3 cups whole milk

    Last meal

    Thanks guys!

What I find is that, if you are able to track your caloric intake, chances are you're doing it incorrectly and won't experience the results that you want. If you're after the SS growth spurt, I'd recommend stocking up on lots of food and making frequent stops to the fridge.

Agree! If you are sore, you're not eating enough. Don't worry about the proportions, just try to keep it clean and keep shoveling.

I'm not trying to track my calories throughout the day or anything. I was just trying to find a ballpark in which to eat. The link tiburon gave me seems legit and says I'm eating well over 7000 so we'll see how it goes.
