Front Squat Cue
Hi Rip,
when teaching the squat, you sometime place your hand on the lower back of an athlete and tell them to push against it. This is to give them an idea of what a proper hip drive feels like.
I've seen others place their hands on the hips to achieve the same result (see the Teaching The Squat effectively thread for this).
Just out of curiosity, I was wondering if there is an equivalent cue for the Front Squat (whether personal to you or established by common practice). What I mean, if there is a teaching method / practice that unlocks the crux of the Front Squat (whatever you think that is) in the same way as putting the hand on the lower back does for the Back Squat.
Many thanks.
