Default Looking For A Coach in Long Beach, CA

I am looking for a coach to help me improve my technique on the various lifts that make up the Starting Strength program. I have read the book and watched the DVD; however, I still think my form is off. I want some direct, live feedback while I'm lifting, so I'd like to get a coach to tune my form.

I messaged the closest person in the coach directory on the main site a couple of times, but I haven't heard back from him.

Does anyone know of any coaches in the Long Beach, CA area (specifically Belmont Shore)? Alternatively, is there anyone local on the forum that would be interested in providing live feedback? I am willing to compensate.

If not, would anyone recommend visiting a CrossFit gym to get lifting advice from one of their trainers? Can I do that without joining the program?

    Thanks in advance.

    Nick

Just FYI from my log, I haven't looked into this yet:

I haven't gone there but he quoted about $100 or so for a single session to look at my lifts and whatnot. There's also http://www.eastweststrength.com/ that looks like a place with some knowledgeable lifters/trainers.

The SS coach directory lists this guy which is relatively near you:

A little bit of a drive if you go regularly but it could be fine if you're only doing a few sessions for technique coaching.

You may also want to check out Metroflex gym in Long Beach! They are just opening this month. You can check them out on facebook or their website.
