    Hiya guys.

Just wondering, are there any fellas particularly interested in maximizing their vertical explosive potential (jump w/ and w/o running start) here?..

If yes, then i have some questions for you.

Recently i goofed around couple of websites like these:

    www.jumpmanual.com
www.vertshock.com (particularly this one interests me)

Have you tried one of these?

U c, the problem is - when i try to find out more about these manuals online, i’m hit with LOTS of fake reviews, obviously written to sell their programs for affiliate commission.

Has anyone actually used these workouts? Do they work that well?

Did they work at all for you?

Any flaws / negatives about any particular program maybe?

    Any feedback welcome.

(especially negative, since all the Net is flooded with positive "reviews" of these ebooks/manuals, virtually no objective info can be found

    Cheers,
    Dmitry.

SVJ is not very trainable, which is why they test it - it shows your raw talent. At most a newbie may end up with another couple of inches, no amount of training will turn an 18" into a 36".

This has been discussed at length in this forum many times, try the search function.

OP's first and only post. Smells like advertising or SEO to me.

Athleticism isn't very trainable. But strength is. So we train strength. To train athleticism. Because athleticism can't be trained. So we train strength--plus a man with a 500lbs deadlift is always more powerful than a man with a 200lbs deadlift. So we train strength.

I don't agree with Rip on this. I went from a 24" SVJ in 9th grade to a 32" SVJ this year. And pretty much all I did was jump a lot.

    My timeline:

    2006 at 14: 24"
    2009: 26" (did nothing)

Three years later of doing nothing: still 26"

2012: Two months of jumping tons daily ~30"

Patellofemoral pain syndrome for two years

2014: started back at 24" after two years of inactivity, within three months of jumping three times a week SVJ is back up to 30"

Took a break for 6 months

2015: started at 28" and got up to 32" in 5-6 months of the same thing (always trying to touch a higher target constantly)

Tore up multiple ligaments in my ankle from football 6 months ago, got surgery 3 weeks ago, and I'm currently non-weight bearing right now.

I bet Rip will be forced (...forced!!...) to change his position when he sees that as a kid ages from 14 to 20 his vertical jump can increase from 24 to 30 and that once he's nearly full grown he can improve even moare!! from 30 to 32.
