    Default Deadlift Check

    On Nov 12 I deadlifted 350x5 but my form was pretty poor (video available). Specifically, not setting the low back and keeping it tight. I dropped some weight (25lbs) this week and want to get a coach's input. Am I setting up correctly? I only did 4 reps because I didn't think I could keep my back tight in the set up.

    Those look okay, but try and avoid squeezing up, then relaxing, squeezing up, relaxing, then squeezing up again and pulling. Put the bar down, sort yourself out, get your air and squeeze up hard once. Then drag that bar up your legs Holding yourself as tight as you can. Make your erectors do the work. Long socks will help with keeping the bar on the legs..
