    Default Squat form followup

    Hi

I started this thread a few weeks ago:
    http://startingstrength.com/resource...t=38306&page=1
I really appreciate the advice I got.
And Steve Hill said that I should post my next workout.

    The main form errors were:
    - Back becoming to horizontal
    - Looking in the mirror
    - Knees not set early enough

After a three week vacation this is my first week of training since my last post:
The links are to the same video but different times.
    Volume day: http://youtu.be/Pbe8heM8uZo
    Light Day: http://youtu.be/Pbe8heM8uZo?t=4m11s
    Intensity day: http://youtu.be/Pbe8heM8uZo?t=5m34s

This week I really focused on keeping my chest up, and I do not look in the mirror any more. But I can see that my technique still isn't very good. I will try using the block of wood to set my knees properly this next week.

Any advice and response is appriciated.

Get your knees forward earlier in the movement. Don't allow your elbows to drop as your descend. Drive up to the top with your hips - avoid lifting your chest mid way through your ascent.

    Hi
Thanks for the response. I tried to set my knees earlier by using the tubow earlier today:

I unfortunately didn't see the response before the workout today and didn't think about the elbows.

Am I heading in the right direction here?

Can you check your video? It appears to be 0:00 in length.

Now it is telling me an error occurred. I will try later from a different compy.

Those look pretty good. You still have a touch of knees forward at the bottom, but nothing too bad. If you can do that without the block, I think you will be in decent shape. See if you can fix the elbows next time.
