I don't get it. How does the deadlift increase the power clean?

Say you can pull 2x slowly, and y fast enough to clean it

Would pulling 4x slowly not mean that you can pull y even faster than before and pull some arbitrary amount + y at the same speed you could previously pull y?

If you can deadlift 400, then 200 will be lighter to you, letting you lift it much faster and more explosively.

Oh that makes sense. Thanks. It's like a chain reaction, you get stronger on the deadlift, power clean increases and if you get stronger on the power clean, the deadlift gets increased.

Big increases in squats and dead lifts make all your other lifts go up.

I don't see how increasing your squat and deadlift will make your bench and press go up.. I mean, there's quite a few examples of people on SS with exceptional squats and deads, but poor benches. Pressing is otherwise unheard of outside the program, so even light loads is impressive lol - to outsiders anyway.
