Eight months ago I got a nasty case of Lymes. I was unable to do any sort of physical training and was limited to pretty much just walking. The worst 8 months of my life. Prior to that I was CrossFitting 3x week and doing some oly lifting. Nothing serious and nothing real heavy. I was never really strong....I had a 400# DL and BS was 310 and Bench was 225 but I had a good engine. I enjoyed my time on my C2 rower, swinging kettle bells, rope work and throwing sandbags around along with somewhat disciplined Oly lifts.

Im feeling good now and want to get back at training. Im going to start with the basic novice level SS. Im not in a rush and think this is the best way.

    Anyways heres my question..... ?

Is the SS program enough for conditioning or should I add some conditioning excersises to the program? Im going to start light. My objectives are to increase my strength and get engine back that I once had.

    What do you all suggest?

Depends on priorities. You can do Novice 3x/week and probably do a brief conditioning session on Wednesday and Saturday.

Or you could run an LP on say Mon/Thurs and condition on Tues/Fri/Sat
