    Deadlift

250.4 kg Bucket list weight (552lbs)

    I tried

    And I failed.

Did 5x180kg afterwards and 25 chinups - went home. (Pissed)

In a way, it actually feels good to miss a planned max attempt, hasn't happened before since I started training last year.

I can also deduce, that I failed 180 kg right above the knees first time I deadlifted last year, so in effect I added 70.4 kg to my fail... ; - )

Gonna go for it again in six to seven weeks.

Someday a weight exactly like that - will be deadlifted by someone exactly like me...

A quarter ton is 500 pounds, unless you are discussing metric tons here.

Only in the scientific/industrial notation. In lifting terms, I believe 500 pounds is 1 entire fuckton. As in "That guy just lifted a fuckton"

Close my man. You'll nail it next time.

Did your grip give out or was it your legs/back? I notice you're not chalked, unless it's liquid chalk or something else.

IMO... being happy about failing is not conducive to achieving goals.

Metric ton, I'm from Denmark. 1 ton = 1000 kg.

Of all the days, yesterday was the first day, there was no chalk in the gym... Back gave out, grip was not an issue.
